The weekend saw a visitor to our house in the form of young Ozzy Stocks – a Labrador puppy who had recently been taken in by some friends. As Ozzy had been indoors for the past three weeks (pending injections), he was eager to get out and about and meet other puppies. For better or worse, his first encounter with another dog was CJ.
As a Old English Newfoundland poodle CJ, while only a few months older than Ozzy, is also thrice his size and weight. Not just that, but she excels in finding and wrestling the biggest dogs she can find.
While I initially thought CJ would bully the smaller Ozzy, I was soon surprised to see her letting the young pup jump all over her.
After some initial nervousness, the two were soon chasing each other round the kitchen, wrestling and at one point, both falling backwards into CJ’s crate for a cage fight.
The result? Two exhausted dogs and a blissful afternoon of me getting some quality PS3 time, while CJ slept behind the sofa.
