Does Canine Advertising Work On CJ?

So this week, the various news outlets and media stations were excited to announce that the UK was showing the first ever advert for dogs.

Of course the advert was for dog food (Bakers if you must know) and was apparently designed to appeal to canine viewers.

The ad, based on The Italian Job, reportedly features a range of high-pitched whistles and barks that are inaudible to humans. However dogs are expected to react to the ad by pricking their ears, wagging their tails and generally getting excited by what they were seeing.

As I work in marketing, this got me curious so I decided to test it out on CJ. The result? I don’t think she was that impressed. In fact, I think she was wondering more about where the sound was coming from and why I disturbed her nap for this ridiculous experiment.
